I love knitting with Alpaca Yarn……

“The Fleece of the Gods”

That is what this beautiful animal, the alpaca, is known for. They are indigenous to the mountains of South America where they play and graze way up high close to the sky…..and God. And boy do they play. They are communal animals, always looking out for each other, appropriately called “The Dolphins of the Land”

The high quality of this wool, in some cases softer than cashmere, is hypo-allergenic and gently gently caresses your skin. The following Cuffs, Bandanas and Lace Scarves are knit with baby Suri Alpaca, the very first shearing of this “ringlet” Alpaca, one of the two breeds, the other one being Huacaya.

Allers Magazine – Norway

Allers Side 1

Allers Side 2

The Norwegian Magazine Allers just published an article on my life focusing on the journey of Hope, Healing, Recovery and a Joy for Life!

What a beautiful response from people far and wide being inspired to talk about either being an alcoholic or having loved ones struggling with the disease. There is hope!

……and I love that women are using the theme of “Knitting in Recovery – One Stitch at a Time” in their knitting groups!

Angora Wedding Jacket

Wedding Jacket TopScot’s daughter Ashleigh got married last week to her Cedric! I knit this Wedding Jacket for her to wear if the evening got a little chilly. It was the most beautiful and light Angora Yarn I have ever had the privilege to work with. Thank you little bunny rabbits:-) It can be pinned in different ways for different looks……and can be worn anytime, anywhere……timeless!
